I got up out of bed, what a perfect day

I looked around — my garage band was gone, just gone

I thought about the people with a plan and a career
And then I heard it whisper in my ear:

But the motivation orchestra went quiet instead
One voice singing softly in my head:

I fell down hard, got up from the floor
Half kinda dizzy like the time before
I took some aspirin, then it hit me again
That same weird, creative flow within

I looked around — and there they were
My garage band, like it always was
The drummer started, kicked it in
