until it wasn’t mine to hold.
You said I mattered—
but you never meant it enough.

I was the warmth you leaned on,
until someone brighter walked in.
Then I watched you smile at her,
with the same eyes I used to feel safe in.

And I hated you.
God, I wanted to hate you.
But the truth is that I will never do
Becase love doesn’t leave just because it’s hurting.
It stay's, like perfume in the clothes you forgot to take back.

So I stayed quiet.
While you joked, and touched, and lived
as if I wasn’t unraveling
on the same couch where we used to sit.

You called me jealous.
You called me dramatic.
You called me little.

But I am not small.
Not anymore.
I am the ache in your absence.
I am the silence you left behind.
I am the girl who learned how to speak
only after you stopped listening.

And maybe you’ll forget me.
But I will remember—
that I loved, fully.
That I broke, beautifully.
That I stood, quietly.
And that, one day,
I will no longer need your name
to finish the poem.
